Looking for the parents of James Scattergood born around 1801 Nottinghamshire.  James grandfather was Samuel Sills Scattergood born around 1737 Nottingham St Mary.
James married Ann Lacey 1830 in Radford Nottinghamshire.

You on the Leicester board but have you looked at Nottm baptisms, children are to Samuel and Mary so boys are
John bap 1766 St Mary
Samuel 1773 St Mary

There is a baptism James 23 Mar 1801 parents John and Mary St Mary
John Scattergood married Mary Cooper 9 Oct 1797 St Mary

You will need the records office, I tend to use Nottm library more and it's easy to turn the chair to the microfiche copier!
