I'm struggling to track a bit of the family tree that ends around 1946 in and around Brooks Green West Sussex in 1946. It's been a struggle and i've had my head down working, but one enquiry here has reaped rewards, so i'm seeing if the talented bunch can assist.
The information is that I have is for Mary Marian Humphreys (a shorthand typist), of Fairlands Farm, Brooks Green, Horsham in 1946. But this is where the trail stops dead with typical online resources (marriages / deaths). Humphreys seems to be a typical (although not Sussex) name in the area, and i've (by I, I mean Rootschat!) found a Fairlands Farm in nearby Barns Green.
Any guidance on local records I could use to re-ignite this cold trail?
