Louis Laque/Leque

Lots of problems with Laque family but will start with Louis. In 1920 and 1930 he is living in Detroit with wife Permilla. He was born abt 1895 Canada. The family also show up on the 1921 Canada census living in Chatham Ontario. Children all born USA starting in 1914. Census show Louis immigrated 1908 and Permilla in 1912. Possible Louis in 1910 Detroit with parents Edward and Agnes. Permilla born Canada 28 Mar 1895 Dresden Ontario(Border Crossing info) although birth registered as Pamela Smale - parents Thomas and Lydia.
I can find no birth registration for Louis nor Canadian census for Laque family. Nether can I find a marrige for Louis and Permilla. The 1910 census is the onley one that I can find for Edward/Agnes Laque.

Edward seems to cross the border at Detroit 18 June 1942 under David Edward Laque 2 October 1864 - Port Emsley Ont - Son Louis Laque 2238 W Derby Street Detroit. Michigan. Daughter Marie Kearns. Resides 76 edgar Street. Chatham Ontario.

I saw the 1942 border crossing. He states that he was born in Port Emsley Ontario - no such place but there is a Port Elmsley in Lanark Co. A check of 1871/81 census show no Laque/Leque registered in Lanark Co. The family seem to census shy in Canada. Same goes for marriage and birth registration.

Marriage Louis Laque/Piennilla Smale 01 Sep 1913 Detroit,Wayne,Michigan. Parents were Edward Laque/Agnes Jones and Thomas Smale and Leddy Christner.
Curious fact is that all census show Louis wife as Permilla or variation but birth and death registration show her as Pamilla
No idea where Edward and Agnes died - USA or Canada
