Request for WW1 record to be digitised COMPLETED

Hi All,

Would any kind person be able to request the digitising of a WW1 Army record for me?

It is for William David Marquet, WW1 46601 Army, Item ID R10928531.

hi eliza if you PM me the details i can check the auckland museum's war datebase along with national archives & see if they have anything you need

There is no need to PM the information as the Auckland War Memorial database is online for all to search

and Eliza has obviously been on the Archives website to find the deatils for her request

well not always are they available online also its only 30 mins away from me also sometimes the record wont be on the museum war database & have to have a form filled in & sent away to the defence force, i myself had to that

Hi Mr New Zealand and Janette,

Thankyou for your kind offers and input. In the case of this individual, I have been fortunate in that the history of he and his ancestors has already been done by another and therefore is reasonably known.

However, he still has elderly direct descendants, who I know will be chuffed to bits to see his war record when it is digitised, as I know they have not seen it before - hence my original post. I'll probably need to print it out on large paper for them as their eyesight is not so good now (lol).
