Dobie family in the North East

Hi there!

 I'm looking to see if there are any relatives around from my fathers' side. He was born in Murton Village in 1947, the youngest of six. From what I gather he frequented the Robin Hood pub, both before being of legal age and after. Dad joined the Merchant Navy fairly early on. He relocated to Surrey in the 80's, but has since moved back up North. If anyone can help shed light on some relatives, that'd be great. Sadly the phone number Dad gave me is no longer operational, and I lack a forwarding address. He told me that his side of the family was quite extensive, so it would be nice to speak with some of them.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
