Has anyone researched the family surname Farthing? I would like to find out what relation James Handford Farthing (married 1788) cutler of Cornhill London was to William Farthing (c.1761 - c.1834) jeweller of Cheapside. There is also I believe a family connection between the Farthings and the Handfords of the Strand, trunk makers. Thomas Handford was born in Wellington Somerset (1767) and J H Farthing was married there in 1788. Does anyone know what the relationship was?
