Harrison Family - Holme-Upon-Spaulding-Moor

My gr-grandfather, John Abraham Harrison was born 4 August 1830 in Holme-Upon-Spaulding-Moor to John Harrison and Mary Falkingham.  Mary was born 4 January 1797. I don't know anything more about John.  They married 25 June 1818 in the same place and had 10 children up to 1843.  My gr-grandfather emigrated to Canada West about 1855.
Can this family be found on any census?

I don't see John Abraham Harrison Jr with his family.  He was born in 1830 and married Hannah Holmes in 1853 in H on SM.  She was the daughter of Abraham Holmes and Rosanna Thomas, of whom I only know their names.  Are these your line?

When I get a chance, I will have another look - it is possible he is living in another house as an employee.....

In my tree.....I have Martha HOLMES (born c. 1817) who was married to George ROBINSON (born 1810) .  They married in 1841 and Martha already had two sons....the youngest being named George Robinson Holmes - so I am assuming that George ROBINSON was his father!!!

Martha's parents were Francis HOLMES & Ann (?).

Francis was born c. 1771 (aged 70 in 1841 census)...but I haven't done any research on this line yet!!   Do you have any info on Abraham Holmes ??  Is he connected to Francis ?

I have just scrolled all the way through Holme on S M  in 1851 - and can't see your John A. Harrison...

The only other John Harrison is aged 18...and an apprentice shoemaker living with Thomas Holliday & his family.

 

Do you think this could this be Hannah HOLMES ?  Maybe the William Harrison is a brother of her future husband ?

That is most probably the correct Hannah and William is her future brother-in-law!  It's funny that you haven't found John Abraham! I wonder where he was?

William married Ellen Falkingham in 1866.  As far as I can determine, she isn't a close relation.

I don't know anything about Abraham Holmes.  I haven't pursued this line because my line is through John Abraham's second wife, Eliza Jane Ogden, from Canada.

John had a daughter Rachel Harrison who married a Richard Smith

John Harrison was the son of Robert Harrison born 1724 Barmbt Moor and Dorothy born 1728 Barmby moor
Wonder if our Harrisons could be related?
