Have now received birth Cert for Williams daughter Catherine Smith Richardson born 13th Oct 1841.
Her father is William Richardson (as expected) Brunswick Terrace, Price St, Birkenhead.
That address is the same as the one in the 1841 Census.

Her mother is Eliza Simpson.
In the census's she is born Whitby Yorks around 1815.

William's occupation is listed as 'Gentleman'

Now all I have to do is find Eliza's parents, and her marriage to William. Easy  Ha! Ha!

An update on the death of William Richardson. He died on 27th June 1851 aged 54 years. His occupation is down as Clergyman and the cause of death is given as Consumption for 5 months. The informant is Thos Richardson who I think was his brother.

So it looks like the newspaper article was right about his cause of death being Consumption.
