Web site unobtainable

I would be interested to learn if anyone else other than me has had trouble accessing the Lincolnshire Marriage Index web site over the past few days?

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.  It's usually off over weekends, so I don't know if they do back-ups then.

Thanks for replying

I've been trying since Saturday and whilst the web site itself is on line its impossible to open the spread sheets. Also I did notice last week that the Lincoln City spread sheet now included post 1870 records but the main page still listed 1837-1870.

Next time I gain access I must save the sheets to file, been meaning to do it for ages

I did wonder if it was something to do with having sold the records to FindMyPast when I couldn't see the sheets, but then they all appeared again a few days later.

Ok folks panic over  I'm in so both Lincoln spread sheets will now be saved

I certainly hope they don't restrict free access to the site Lizzie its been a major source for a number of years to those with Lincolnshire connections.

BTW would you believe after all this time waiting the marriage I was looking for wasn't listed  must have been a registry office or nonconformist.

I hope they don't restrict its use too.  I find it much easier to search through the years if I'm unsure of a date of birth or baptism, than FindMyPast where you have to keep going back the the list of scans each time you want to move on a page.

Lincolnshire County Council have been doing some maintenance on their IT system (over the weekend) which would have made the site unavailable.
I believe they were upgrading the system.

Lincolnshire County Council IT network were due to carry out essential maintenance last Tuesday (11th) from 11 pm until 2 am but this weekend I had no problem accessing their various sites including Lincs to the Past.

Perhaps Lincs marriage Index have been updating their data. There are still some districts short on info.
