I have updated the Local History page on my website

http://www.prescot-rollofhonour.info/local_history

It now contains a series of transcribed and freely downloadable files relating to Prescot:-

1901 Census - Full Transcription

1911 Census - List of Prescot men who worked at the Wire Works
1911 Census - List of Prescot men employed in the Coal Industry
1911 Census - Count of Surnames in Prescot
1911 Census - Enumerator's Summary Books

1918 Prescot Commercial Directory
1922 Prescot Telephone Directory
1924 Kelly's Directory of Prescot

Please feel free to download and share. All I ask is that the website is acknowledged as the source of the files
Researching the men of Prescot, Lancashire, who fell in the Great War

Stephen -- I have no connection to Prescot, but couldn't resist looking at your site. It is wonderful. An awful lot of hard and detailed work has gone into it's construction. You should be very proud.

I will advertise it on my local Family History Forum --- with the proviso that the site is acknowledged if anything from it is downloaded.

Many thanks for telling us about it.

Regards June
