Mark Dewberry

Good Morning  I am still trying to find the baptism of Mark Dewberry 1756 I have seen that he is listed at Woodwalton but this is wrong I am connected to him by his first wife Mary ? he died aged 70 and was buried at Woodwalton on the 15/2/1826 Mary died on the 8/12/1786 aged 36 at St. John Baptist Stibbington they had two children only  James 1781 and Sarah 1785. Mark a (w)then married a Catherine Askham spinister from Stibbington parish in 1787 a very quick marriage after Mary, perhaps they were sisters .

Good Morning keyboard86 I didn't like to mention that I have the cd Parish Register of St. Andrew Woodwalton Huntingdonshire  I am careful what I type on boards. and mention other resources.

Why?

There's no first marriage for Mark on Hunts Marriage Index, which covers the whole of the county. Find the marriage and it might lead to his baptism. Stibbington is very close to Northants - I'd check Northants Marriage Index

Good Afternoon bedfordshire boy I have a cd on Northamptonshire Parish Records but it does not include Stibbington, I don't know where places are in your Country I am still learning

Hi Again Janet.

Northants Record Office do not hold the Parish Records for Stibbington.

As it is near to Wansford which is the last village in Northants this explains
where it was.

Try www.genuki.com to check out which county parishes were in. Stibbington was in Hunts but was very close to the Northants boundary, which is why I suggested he might have married first time round in Northants. If he'd married in Sibson-cum-Stibbington, Hunts it would have been on Hunts Marriage Index, which it isn't - just his second marriage.
