1840s Belfast Schools and Records
« on: Wednesday 22 June 05 22:44 BST (UK) »
Could someone please tell me were there many schools in Belfast in the 1840s?

Have any records been kept and where am I likely to find them?

Many Thanks
Therese

Hi Therese,

if you know the name of the school it might be possible to trace it through the records held by Proni.

Have a look at this site which gives information on tracing early schools in Belfast

http://www.proni.gov.uk/school/education.htm
