Pembroke Dock - burial at St Johns Church
« on: Monday 17 March 14 13:47 GMT (UK) »
I understand that Abel GRIFFITHS, aged 81, was buried 21.11.1877 at St Johns Church.  Would his burial be at Park Lane Cemetery (he lived nearby) or was there a burial ground at St Johns?

I have just checked Pembroke Dock St John burial for November 1877 and there is no reference that I can see to the burial of an Abel Griffiths.
From my book on Headstones of Park Street Cemetery there is no reference to a headstones of Abel.
Park Street Cemetery closed to new burials circa 1868, so I checked Llanion, 1st burial there was in 1872, there is no reference to Abel there. Family burial plots continued in use upto 1910.

Thank you so much for this response, frustrating though it is.  I'll go back and check where the info came from - it''s from way back when, I have to say, I was a little less rigorous in my research and had some unreliable sources.
