Please can someone explain why FindMyPast keep telling me my search for Frederick William Hemm on the 1901 and 1911 census comes up as a NO result when I can find him on FamilySearch and that site quotes FindMyPast as the source ? I do hope someone can help.

Is he in Chorlton RD in 1901? If so He's Frederick Wm Hemm
And as his full name in 1911, same place.

I'm not sure. Are you giving too much information?
Put in Frederick Hemm - tick for variations in both boxes
Then his birth year as 1847+2
Then in residence put in Chorlton

Try just the county - Lancashire, no place of residence.
Are you on the new or old FindMyPast?
