Brides fathers name
« on: Monday 24 March 14 19:40 GMT (UK) »
I have found a marriage for Margaret Davies to William E Jones 3 quarter in St Asaph 1914
It's the E in the grooms middle name that interests me as I have been told her husband was called Evan but have searched high and low no luck, as her fathers name was Daniel and he has never shown up on any certificate investigated M Davies to an Evans.

Is there any one who has access to thus I formation that could see if Daniel Davies was the father on this marriage.

Thank you

In simple terms can you explain why the marriage can not be looked up (civil ) and what marriage can be looked up and why ?

Thank you

Hi

To lookup a marriage - you need to know which church it took place in.  A civil marriage can be in a registry office or in a Catholic Church which requires the presence of a registrar - there are other instances as well.

Because the location is unknown - it would take a great deal of time and effort to find the marriage
