New Romney - photo request

A few years ago I floated a request here for anyone living in the area to take a photo of the sign marking 'DAGLISH CLOSE' in New Romney, which has family connections.  I have one photo but it was taken when a piece of litter had been draped over the sign, so not good for the family album!  A RootsChatter did offer a photo but it never materialised, but I hope that someone living nearby might be able to oblige this time.

The sign has a large crack on it which looks like a piece of litter. The part is missing. I will check again when I drive pass today to see if the local council have put a new sign in but with the budget cuts I can't see it being a top priority. ;D ;D

Ainslie, if it does have a crack in the sign, you could always put the photo on the 'photo restoration' board. I bet one of the talented bunch on there could fix it.

I had a look and the sign is still in the same condition as before. So your best bet is to get the photo restored by the wonderful people on this site.

Thanks for  looking.  I have been trying to get the photo down to an aceeptable size, but still failing.  More homework needed!

If you use google street view you can take an up to date photo of the sign

I have tried wandering up and down via Google street view, but could not see the sign.  However I have reduced the photo enough to post it on the restoration board and hope for the best.  Fingers crossed, and thanks again.
