'General Whesham's Regiment of Foot' perhaps in Grantham abt 1741?

I found this mentioned on a relatives marriage record - I've googled it to no avail.

I have actually tried to find what I posted previously - to no avail. Usually when you google your subject, and other posts you have made on the subject come up. This has not happened - which is why I asked about again.

If you Google "General Wetham" - as suggested here - http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/ENG-LINCSGEN/2012-11/1353662558 .  Looking for "Whesham" finds only your own posts.

It's okay I  couldn't figure out how to find archived stuff, and I had found some before by googling the subject, but obviously you have to remember what subject you used.
Have started a new new for each new topic - hopefully that will help me  keep track better - barring any more disasters

yes know what you mean I,ve tried before now to find posts folk have made without success , anyway as to you whesham I,ve tried all I can think of in google for anything whesham and come up with nothing ,the marriage record you,ve found it does state clearly the name whesham it couldn,t be a mistranscription or badly written and mispronounced  , this may sound silly but in what context is it on a marriage cert , ie bridegrooms occ ? etc .
