Maybe James O'neille re married !! He didn't accompany Mary,his wife & Alice his daughter to Australia in 1871 !! A James O'Neille was listed on shipping records ie.ship "Strathmore" but his name was deleted and didn't embark on ship.He is listed as son of Mary O'Neille !!! Interesting ! I assumed James snr had died and Mary was a widow..hence she followed her eldest daughter Katherine to Australia.Mary's older sister Sarah Ann Walker married Joseph WITHERS (Later Reverend WITHERS first Colonial Chaplain Western Australia) who arrived in 1863.They brought their neice Katherine WALKER to Australia as a nurse maid.
