Maiden name in Guernsey
« on: Saturday 29 March 14 01:51 GMT (UK) »
Hi, I am trying to find out the maiden name of a 3x great grandmother of mine. Her name was Jane and she was originally from Ireland, born around 1800. She married Jesse DALE, b 1775, Sussex. He was in the army. Their first child, Sarah, was also born in Ireland according to census records, but the next two children, Ellinor (Ellen) b 1827 and Anna b 1829, were both born in Guernsey according to the censuses. All subsequent children were born in Framfield, Sussex. I am wondering if there is any way of tracing records for Ellinor and Anna in Guernsey, which may give a clue to the identity of their mother. Any help or suggestions welcomed.
