marriage Lookup - KIRKUP

Could some kind soul please lookup a marriage in 1908 of Rrobert John Kirkup, probably in the Tynemouth area?  I cannot find a definate wife for John and am hoping I can find this information without having to resort to sending for certififcates!

On my tree I have an entry of robert j kirkup born 1881 in Stannington married September 1908 to Agnes Summerell, but unfortunately I cant remember where I got this information from. It might have been from the Kirkup website of B.M.D  I will let you know if I can find it.

The only problem is that the freebmd entry shows two males and only one female, so we cant be sure that Agnes summerell actually married robert kirkup.  I was hoping someone may have access to the parish records?

If you click the part that says you have found one partner and cant find the other, then it actually explains that it has to be one of those people listed, in which case Agnes is the only female married that day. I have proved a few marriages in this way.  Hope it helps

I have had a look on ancestory uk and the date of her marriage comes up,  but what I find interesting is the fact that there are a lot of summerells come from Somerset. Do you know if she was born in Northumberland?

Sorry to butt in, but what about poor John Edward Mills.

His marriage was also registered and ended up in Volume 10b, page 339.

It seems, does it not, that there is a fourth person, a bride, who is also on 10b 339, that has not yet been transcribed onto FreeBMD.

I have read the instructions about when you can one partner, but not the other, but they are relevant if you get 4 or 8 candidates, not three .

Robert was transcribed by "chickpea", John by "velvet" and Agnes by " magspags"
