1891- Agnes ROACH or ROCH
« on: Thursday 23 June 05 20:39 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find Agnes ROACH born Manchester or Salford about 1848.

I believe I've found her in 1881, living in Hulme Manchester, married to William ROACH, a Carter, with 2 children William born about 1868 and David born about 1873.

By 1891 David appears to be living in a Boys' home, there are a couple of possibilities for the younger William in lodgings, but no obvious candidates for Agnes or her husband.

I haven't found a death entry for her between 1881 and 1891, though there is a possible one in Prestwich in 1892.

I can see in an 1891 census index, an entry for an Agnes ROCH born 1844 Manchester, living in Lancashire. Could someone possibly check this entry for me to see if it could be her?

Hmm, that certainly looks like a strong possibility.

Thanks again Anne for your help.
