Henry ORAM born c1843 possibly Waltham Holy Cross area.   No other details except spent 12 months imprisoned from 06/01/1857.

Checked census via Ancestry, FamilySearch, tried Google etc. but no trace.   Can anyone help please.

Thank you Mark,

But, sadly, I think the 1848 birth date has to be another Henry ORAM.

Hi their is a Harry Oram aged 9 on 1851 in Enfield, with father Charles, following Charles to 1861 he is in Fountain Place, Waltham Cross, a possible for you?

Mark,

The Essex Standard reported his trial on 09/01/1857 quoting his age as 15 and making his DOB 1842/1843.

Keyboard86,

I think I tend to agree with your reservations......but thank you for helping.

Re the baptism, do not assume that his baptism date is his birth date, also the Harry in Enfield & his father seem to go missing after this census, what more do you know of your Henry ie what was his occupation, did he marry etc?

EDIT but the 1848 one does seem to be the birth in Edmonton district 1848!

keyboard86,

I mentioned at the outset that despite extensive fossicking the only actual fact about him I had was his conviction to imprisonment for 12 months.
