Hi Pricilla,

Many thanks for your reply I had looked at the first one you listed and it did not give the parents names :( :( and the second one with a slightly different birth year does not tie in with the information on the 1871 census I mentioned in my request when i forgot to mention they were living 172 New England St Pauls Peterborough.
His parents seem very elusive which is making it difficult to go further back.

Assuming that George Amos is the same George Frisby, married to Annie, living in Grantham in 1891, with a "daughter in law" (step daughter with the surname of Cragg) then the marriage certificate for George Amos Frisby marrying Annie Lucy Cragg in Grantham Registration District in the June quarter of 1891, should give you George's father's name.

Transcriptions and NBI are merely finding aids.  They are NOT a substitute for original record entries.

Hi ,

George certainly moved about as in 1891 he was married in Grantham the problem is to find where in the Grantham area he married as on the different sites it just gives Grantham which could also mean a village etc in the area.George stayed in Grantham till he died in 1942.
I will have to look in the parish records or local Journal or failing that send for his marriage cert.

Many thanks to you and the others for your help very much appreciated.

Hi.

Thomas married Jane Burdett at Paston, Northants on 16 Mar 1863.

Therefore John is possibly her father with them on the 1881.

There is a Amos and Rebecca Frisby living in Swinstead Lincs on the 1841
who could be the possible parents of Thomas and George's father.

Rebecca dies in the Jun Qtr of 1859 and Amos re-marries a Mary Holmes
on 21st Aug 1860 at Witham on the Hill.

Both fathers were noted as deceased.

There is an Amos Frisby who marries Mary Ann Auckland in Newark
Reg District in 1866. This covers Sedgebrook.

Mary Ann dies in the Grantham Reg District in 1869 aged 24.

Amos born in 1844 to Amos and Rebecca above brother of Thomas is a
boarder in Spittlegate , a widower on the 1871 aged 26.

As his occupation was Railway Engine driver could be the link to Newark.

He re-marries to an Elizabeth Auckland in 1872.
