« on: Wednesday 23 April 14 18:13 BST (UK) »
Please can someone help me with this problem

I have a Daniel Leary born 1825 born in Clonakilty in Ireland he moved to Cardiff in Wales and I have traced him up to the census 1851/1881 showing him with his Wife Ellen and children John Leary 1848  Timothy Leary 1850 Anne Leary 1855 and Ellen Leary 1861 .. I have found a marriage cert for Daniel Leary/Ellen Hurley  in 1848 in Cardiff   what I cant find is a link to either Daniel or Ellens family I cant seem to get a name to match them ..I just get other Leary's that emigrated to America from Ireland but my ancestors came to Wales..Any help would be appreciated.. :D

Have you got their parents names from the marriage cert?

No I got Ellen's first name from the census in 1851 in cardiff so I looked up marriages in Cardiff and there was only one around the time her first child would be born in 1848..The only Ellen on the register was Ellen Hurley..I looked for them in Ireland around 1851 aswell but couldnt find a Match..So I am presuming I have the correct family..As the child I had to match up with them was Daniel Leary D.O.B 1850..

You need to have a look at the marriage, with at least his fathers name or how will you know you have the right one.
There is this possibility in 1824 http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/d7ad5a0020803
