William Wood & Sarah? marriage needed.
« on: Tuesday 10 June 14 15:47 BST (UK) »

Eldest son William Wood born in 1833 In Cheshunt, Herts (1841 census) but can't find a birth record for him.   Three children after James,Jane & John, all born Cheshunt .  Parents William Wood & Sarah, William born 1806 Cheshunt and Sarah born 1821 Cheshunt which would make her about 12 years at eldest sons birth old so perhaps he was married to another person before that.  There are three marriages on Ancestry - Hatfield 1826 to  Sarah Harrow, Stanstead 1833 to Sarah Beacroft and Great Gaddesden 1836 to Sarah Waterton.

Which ones do I choose or are none of them correct?

Any help gratefully received.
Regards Carol

Sarah is listed as 40 in the 1851 census and 54 in 1861 so maybe her age is 1841 is incorrect.

Maybe one way forward would be to check the birth cert of one of the children such as
Jane    Wood  Dec Qtr 1839    Edmonton    Reg Disrict Vol 3 Page 77
