finding info regarding grandfather

Hi im new to this so im not sure how it works im trying to find any info on my granddad all I know is that he lived in Birmingham uk he played the sax in the Birmingham clubs probably around mid 1930s to probably late 1940s he married a lady from crewe Cheshire called Jessie they had 2 boys Kenneth and james my granddad died when his boys were around 10 years old at this point my gran moved back to crewe  im hopeing that some one may know of him
