Sorry I misread your post :) Thought you were in Tasmania and trying to trace your family back to England and Ireland.

Please could you advise me where to look for death records.

He went to Tasmania around 1948 I can not find any records
of him. Please could you advise me where to look for death records.
May I mention that there's plenty of Australians who are very much alive and alert who were born earlier than your chap.   Just because you cannot find records of your chap after he came to Australia does NOT indicate that he is no longer living.   In Australia a living person's personal details are private, and not available for the general public to check up on.
and I quote from another regular RChatter

If you are looking for living descendants, do not provide details of these living persons. If you are providing details of someone we suspect may still be living, but you know is deceased, please state this.

I have replied on your other thread.    I gave you lots of information there, including links to RChat's Resources boards.

You are still asking where to find death records for this person, but you have not confirmed that you actually know that this person is no longer living.

It is entirely possible that your person of interest is alive. At RChat it is a No No to include names of living persons, or persons who may still be alive.
