Marriage in 1868, most likely Kings Sutton
« on: Wednesday 09 July 14 10:26 BST (UK) »
Hi

Can anyone help me with the details of a marriage in Q3, Brackley Registration District between

William Cross
and
Elizabeth Damer

please?

From later census records, both William, b.1849 and Elizabeth, b. 1848, say they're from Kings Sutton, and that's why I'm thinking that's the most likely place for the marriage.

There are some peeps on Ancestry who have Elizabeth's surname as Dancer, and there are certainly Dancers in Kings Sutton in 1851, but no Elizabeth.  On one of the trees, someone has Elizabeth as "(Ann) Elizabeth Dancer", and there is an Ann Dancer of the right age on the 1851 in KS; and Freebmd has a birth in Brackley RD in Q4 1848 of an Ann Elizabeth Dancer.

Any help much appreciated.
Thanks
STG
