Please can anyone tell me how to find out where my G.G.grandfather came from.
My father said that they came from County Clare but I don't know what town or village.
How can I find out?
I am 81 years young and have done my English side.
He had a son John who got married in Sheffield in 1843.
I have the marriage certificate but it just says from Ireland.
