Extracted baptisms for Charlton-on-Otmoor (including Murcott) can be found on the Family Search website (Batch No. C024372).  Unfortunately, there's no sign of Thomas's baptism, although there are CLARKE baptisms in the late 1700s onwards.

What is your source for believing that Thomas may have been born/baptised in Charlton-on-Otmoor?  Although it's where his and Frances's marriage took place, it's much more likely to have been the bride's place of birth/residence than the groom's.

Pennie I was in touch with someone who looked up Samuel's (Thomas's son) baptism, it was then I discovered that his name or a name had been crossed out on the register but came at the end of a lot of baptisms for Thomas Clarke and Frances nee Hatwell, they said I should take it as Samuel because all the other dates for him matched. I'm not very good at keeping the source's of my research so I'm not sure where I got his and France's marriage, but its got to be off the family history sites as unfortunately I used to live in Oxfordshire but now I'm along way away.

Do you have the witnesses for Thomas and Frances's marriage, as they may give clues to other family members?

You may also like to contact the Oxfordshire FHS - they have an (almost complete) baptism index and can do look-ups for a small fee.
