No such birth on Scotlandspeople for any date between 1848 and 1854 and any place in Scotland.

This is what I found, but on the 1861 census she is with her mother and siblings in Liverpool and all the children were born in Scotland I have found all the others on Scotlands people but not mary dont know where to look now.

Did she marry in Scotland or England? A Scottish marriage certificate might provide a wealth of additional information.

If not, have you any other possible residences for her?

Have you tried varying the spelling of the surname as widely as possible, in case it's either been noted down or transcribed incorrectly? I found several of my McKie's listed as "McKay", and an Irish Archer listed as he no doubt pronounced it - "Archard"

       I wonder if they were a catholic family, because on Scotlands People's Catholic Registers, there is a Mary Coleman baptised at Coatbridge, Lanarkshire in 1852 to John Coleman and wife Ann Treacy.     Coatbridge is roughly 8 miles east of Glasgow.     ...The first names you gave for her parents are a match for this baptism.

Thanks doddsie4 I had seen this one but the mother's maiden name is different unless its a spelling mistake.
