Thank you  :) Philipsearching (as I wrote John (born 1900) and Thomas (born 1901), Heywood, Garsonite and Heather.  Grandmother was Alice Prestt.   Agnes went to Canada with Thomas and Alice.   As Garsonite wrote "where is John?"  And like she also wrote it doesn't help when you are dealing with spelling Prest, Priest or whatever. I was not very clear and trying to make information as short as possible.  Heather came up with a site dealing with 'probate' records; I will investigate.  Audrey

Hello again,
I don't think any of those probate records are him because they name other family members and can be traced.
Have you checked Canadian records for him?

Heywood, See what you mean - Probate no help either.  Checked Canada records - only Thomas and Agnes.  No John.  As yet.  Audrey

Hi Heywood,  Checked out John Press death in 1902 via Ancestry.  Unfortunately they produce an index which tells you exactly what you found but not whether he had Joshua Prestt for a father and Alice Prestt for a mother and I have (had an uncle).  I could order the death certificate; that is feasible.  But the challenge is finding another way.  Right?? :-\

It won't show anything else- that's what it is a death index  :)

You have to apply for the certificate.

It doesn't look as though he was buried from the same church as Joshua. Lancashire opc doesn't have him there.
