The following is an extract from an Essex Records Office message regarding a free exhibition at Harwich entitled Harwich On The Map:-
Join us for a display of maps, prints and photographs through which we can trace Harwich’s development over the centuries. The display will include a large manorial map of Harwich, Dovercourt, and Wrabness dating to 1751, which was only recently deposited with ERO, and a set of photographs of the Victorian development of Harwich, including the arrival of the railway. An opportunity to enjoy ERO’s collections without having to travel to Chelmsford!
