Workhouse Lambeth Surrey and Tower Hamlets London

Hi
I'm researching Charles and Mary Bush (nee Martin). They were married in St Katherine by the tower and had Mary Bush who died a baby and then Charles Bush in Tower Hamlets (R.M. Lane). There was a workhouse in this area.
I've found a Mary Bush who died in Lambeth workhouse who fits but did people move once in a workhouse? How do I get the information on them? 1749-1824. I also found Charles her husband (I think) buried at Lambeth in 1804.
Their son Charles joined the army and I can imagine that was a fantastic move for him. His son and grandchildren went on to work along side Workhouses and then manage one in Southampton. This is why Im 90% certain this is the same family.
Hope someone can help as this is all very frustrating.
Many thanks
Heidi

Was Mary in the workhouse as a pauper? Or did her family already work there, hence that her address at death? Or often workhouses were also the local hospitals, so she could have died there but never have been admitted as a pauper.

Thanks for such a fast response. I only know she died in the Workhouse at Lambeth and that it seems too much of a coincidence to be 2 different people. Who would I contact to see Workhouse records please?
I'm looking on Ancestry.co.uk and have references 1041662 for her and 1595090 and 254603 for him.

If any survive they are usually at the relevant Local Record Office. Not sure where that is for Lambeth, but I am sure someone will come along who does know.

Those reference numbers look like the film numbers from familysearch
Information on Lambeth workhouse can be found here, available records are listed towards the bottom of the page.

I've now contacted the relevant council. Thanks for the Workhouse advice. Going to read it now :-)
I gather that it was possible for poor to move from a workhouse in London to Lambeth.
Many thanks

Not sure what you are meaning here, Lambeth is London
London is normally classified as Middlesex north of the Thames & Surrey south of the Thames. It is really only 'the square mile' that is the City of London.
