Please interpret passage re Alexander Charters of Duchrae, 1664

The passage attached, written in what appears to be Latin, is about Alexander Charters (Charteris) of Duchrae.  Is there some learned person who would be willing to attempt an interpretation?

Thanks for the advice.  I will check out the website.  I guessed that it may be Latin. 
I have since done some more research & found the following:

The estate of Duchrae  was first possessed by Robert Charters (brother of Sir John Charteris of Amisfield in Dumfries).  The land was granted by King James VI (1566-1625).  Robert had four sons Joseph, Alexander, Archibald & William.  After his father's death, Joseph kept the title; confirmed by King Charles I (1625-1649).  As Joseph had no 'issue', the estate passed to his brother Alexander on 6 Sep 1664.  Alexander appears to have mismanaged a few investments and the estate was disponed by 6 May 1679.  The places mentioned in the passage match the names of farms on the Duchrae Estate; later known as Hensol.

I also have Alexander's will; also in Latin.
Anyway, enough of that.  I will follow your advice and start interpreting.

Alexander Charters, heir of Joseph Charters of Duchrae, his brother german, - in the lands of Duchrae extending to ten pound-lands of old extent, containing the lands of Tornorroch, Randrumglas, the two Duchraes, Clonie, Barbeth, Uroch, Uliock, the Mains, the two Craigs, Drumbrex, with the mill of Duchrae, and the salmon fishing on the water of Dee, all within the parish of [Balnaghie?] - Old Extent £10, New Extent 30/-.

I have not put all the names into modern forms as I am not familiar with the area. The Old/New Extent refers to the assumed annual rent the land would produce. The money is in Scots pounds.

Thankyou so much for the interpretation.  As I mentioned previously, I also have the will of Alexander Charteris that seems to be written in the same language.  Is there some way that I could post it on the site to have the contents explained?  I attempted to upload it earlier but it comprises two sheets (files) & that exceeded the allowed uploads.  Any suggestions?
