A second cousin 2R, brother to Frank.  William was a career solider, 1911 census shows him at Aldershot. I do not have his service record but perhaps he was injured, sent home and died, as he is buried, with a CWGC headstone, close to the family home in Kent. His mother at least had one grave she could visit.
