In 1861 I've found a 6yo Elizabeth Austin, b. BoT, living in BoT with parents

James, b. 1831, Dunstall, Staffs, brewer
Mary, b. 1830, Burton

and siblings
Emma, b. 1851, Burton
and
Mary, b. 1857.

Could that be them?

It is the only one I can find too. I was looking for a 4yr old then as she is with her Aunt/Uncle in the next census that doesn't give me consistency for her parents names. :(

So I think I am going to need to research potential parents James/Mary and her Uncle/Aunt in the 1871 and see if I can find who is whose sibling or not as the case maybe

Thank you STG

Must be different Elizabeths, because the one I found is still with parents et al in 1881, so if you're working backwards (as most of us do), then that "proves" she's not the right one.  Doesn't immediately help with finding the one you want though, but never say die ... ;)

The marriage  index  has her  as  ELIZA Austin ,   so maybe she was down as Eliza  in 1861

Not got the marriage cert, it is tidying up with siblings of ancestors

I wonder if she was actually born in Burton Staffs, just found this and it is looks interesting as Robert was born in Rearsby Leicestershire ( Barrow in Soar district)
