Edward John Lord was my grandfather's 2nd eldest brother, born in Cardiff on 23 February 1889 to Edward John Lord and his wife Agnes Maria (nee Cox).

Edward was a private in the Welsh Regiment and died of pneumonia in a military hospital in Mesopotamia. He is remembered on the 1914-1918 memorial at Kirkee cemetery near Poona in India.

Edward's grave has recently been discovered at the Kirkee new cemetery in Poona; a CWGC headstone is being prepared.
