Tom Archbell, son of James Archbell and Susan Spence, was born in Leeds in 1892.  He joined the Royal Field Artillery and was killed in action 3 November 1917.  He is commemorated at Ploegsteert, Belgium.

Tom's younger brother, John, also joined the Royal Field Artillery, and he survived the war.
