Born Rutherglen Lanarkshire, Scotland, Enlisted 1907. Landed in France August 1914.
Killed outside Lesbeoufs, France, 14th October 1916. The only one of 4 brothers who served who was killed. His body was not found until November 1932 ( CWGC)when it was then re interred in Serre Road Cemetery #2.
