Hi again, just putting some notes together, but I think William marries at least twice:-

William Cleminson to Mary Robinson Dec qtr 1867 Auckland 10a 219
Death Mary Cleminson March qtr 1876 Easington 10a 248 aged 28
Marriage possible William Cleminson to Elizabeth Proctor Dec qtr 1877 Auckland 10a 28

1881 Eliza and family on RG11/4952/57/18 really would like to locate birth/previous census for the Ann E Cleminson b c 1865/6 same pob as Eliza eg Yorkshire?

1891

Thomas Cleminson 24
Joseph 16 Brother
Mary A Robinson 66 Widow/Grandmother b Easington Lane
RG12/4196/83/27

Hi

From familysearch this looks like Isabella's baptism, the film number suggests it's a non conformist one (Methodist)

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NY61-2KM

From parish records extracts again on familysearch, this is William and Mary's marriage in 1867 showing both fathers names

Thanks shirl :)
Keyboard jessie is the daughter of James and Isabella also a Christina Bainbridge McKenzie who is my great grandmother. A bit confused about the Bella Cleminson with Simon McKenzie in 1891.
Many thanks
Ian

In 1881 Simon McKenzie appears to be in Partick, Lanarkshire

Jessie McKenzie head, married age 33, b Lochgoilhead, Argyleshire
James son age 12, b Glasgow
Simon son age 7, b Glasgow
Maggie daughter age 0, b Partick
Jessie daughter age 0, b Partick

So if Simon McKenzie and James were brothers, is it this James who married Isabella? If so it might sort of explain Simon's presence in the 1891 census at the same residence as Bella.  Bella and Jessie are shown as Cleminson although Jessie's birth seems to have been registered as McKenzie in 1889 - have you got the birth cert. to confirm the father was James?

James McKenzie & Isabella married in 1892 (freebmd) so that explains why Bella was shown as Cleminson on the 1891 census.
