I am doing some family history research for a friend of mine who is descended from the following couple in the 1911 census at 19 Sea Banks Tynemouth Northumberland:
Thos Carter Howett, 33, plumber, born Tynemouth Northumberland
Annie Howett, 33, born Consett Durham
with children.
The marriage seems to be Thomas Carter Howett & Annie Lamb 1st Q 1902 Tynemouth.
I have traced the husband with confidence but I'm not sure about the wife. The best candidate I can find is as follows in the 1881 census in Consett Durham:
John Lamb, 27, head, ironworker, born Monaghan Co Ireland
Amelia Lamb, 27 (2 on Ancestry), wife, born Walker Northumberland
Ann Lamb, 4, daughter, born Consett Durham
with other children.
And in the 1891 census in Consett Durham:
John Lamb, 37, head, steel smelter, born Monaghan Co Ireland
Amelia Lamb, 38, wife, born Walker Northumberland
Anne Lamb, 14, daughter, born Sheffield Yorkshire
with other children.
I can't find Ann/Anne/Annie (if the same person) in the 1901 census. I can find the following birth:
Annie Lamb 2nd Q 1877 Sheffield Yorkshire. (There is another 4th Q 1876.)
Can anyone find any other candidates for the Annie Howett from the 1911 census? Can anyone find anything that shows I'm right about my Ann/Anne born Consett/Sheffield 1877?
