Trying to find if a (*) b1948 once married to Roger Ian Gisborne b1945 ever divorced or remarried. It would have most likely been in Leicester, not sure how to find Divorce records?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

If either of them are still living please remove their names; it's a Rootschat policy.

HI Many Thanks for that - I know the husband has died but I have no idea if the lady is alive or not. Thank you for your link info.

You can apply to HMCTS, they will do a 10 year search which costs £65 but if there is a result, all you'll get is a copy of the decree absolute which shows the names of both parties, when and where they married and when the decree was made absolute.

You won't get any case files.

There don't appear to be any remarriages with the Gisborne surname upto 2005, but she could have reverted to her maiden surname and remarried, of which there are a few in the index but none in Leicester.
