Help with cemetary

Wondered if anybody can help. I rang st Patrick's catholic cemetary this morning, with the date for them to look on their index. Which is 1879. March. Denis Callaghan age 55. The cemetary opened 1861, they had nothing for my g/g/ grandfather, I wondered if anybody would know if bow cemetary had a index which now is a wildlife park. Or would anybody know where my g.g.. Grandfather would have been buried if he died in wapping 1879, as I am sure they wouldn't have been able to afford a headstone, as he was a coal tipper in the docks, and I don't think he would have gone back to cork. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
