Born as Eliza SMEDLEY 24 Dec 1857 Derbyshire.   Parents Thomas and Eliza according to the 1861 census.  Emigrated to Australia in 1864.

I can only find one previous marriage in NSW to a Joseph HUSH in NSW however she had the surname SELLICK when she married Charles STORMM in 1895.

Newspaper report of Charles Hansen STORRM's funeral in which he is named as George however all other reports name him as Charles including the Coroner's report.

Eliza was having children with a Louis SELLICK from 1884 to 1893.  I can't find a marriage yet.

I doubt there was a marriage... her husband Joseph HUSH died 25 May 1889.  There are births registered to Louis SELLICK and Eliza from 1880.

To ELIZA HUSH, of Queanbeyan, in the colony of New South Wales, Married Woman, the Executrix (named as Eliza Sellick) in the last known Will and Testament of LOUIS SELLICK, of Queanbeyan aforesaid, Labourer, deceased, and JOSEPH HUSH, her husband and the next of kin of the said deceased.

WHEREAS it appears by affidavit of JAMES THOMAS COLLETT, a creditor of the abovenamed deceased, sworn on the twenty-second day of August last, and filed in the Registry of our Honorable Court, that the abovenamed LOUIS SELLICK died on or about the twenty-fifth day of May last, leaving personal estate and effects within the colony of New South Wales, and having first duly executed his last Will and Testament, whereby the abovenamed ELIZA HUSH (therein named Eliza Sellick) was appointed Sole Executrix : etc etc etc.

Thank you for all the information about Eliza's background, quite a tangled web indeed. I was so absorbed in reading all the reports about the tragic accident at Stockton, and trying to find any mention of the number of children. I am pleased to have the headstone photo too. Thank you. Regards.
