Portland Dorset PAINTER missing years?

I've been trawling the PR images at ancestry.com for Portland Dorset. It appears that there's a gap between about 1612 and 1694 or so. The years change in the middle of a page. My question is this: are there other parish registers for Portland that include those missing years? The family of interest is PAINTER.

If you check out Dorset History Centre's holdings here on this link:

you will see that there are gaps in the original registers for the dates you mention.

Many 17th century parish registers have gaps around the time of the Civil War, but there are other reasons for gaps - damp, damage from vermin etc

That's what I was afraid of. I thought the registers imaged might be a copy and another set existed.

There are many answers for us in those missing pages! Classic dead end.
