Hi All
Does anyone hold any school teachers registers trying to find out which school a relative taught at. 1851 census of Daisy bank stoke on trent says Maria miller was a school mistress, just wondered which school this would be.

Before the Education Act of 1902, most teachers were trained under the pupil-teacher system. I dont think there was a registration of teachers until 1914. Find My Past has the Teacher's Registration Council Registers 1914-1948.
