Cerreglefn and Cemaes Bay Anglesey
« on: Wednesday 29 June 05 21:15 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I am looking to order the birth records for Hugh OWEN born 9/8/1893 born in Carreglefn and Catherine WILLIAMS born 30/3/1893 in Cemaes Bay but I am haven't the foggiest on which Registry office I should try?

Regarding further research in the area for the marriage records etc can anyone suggest where I could find the information.

I have tried to look up information on the NorthwalesBMD but I could not find anything listed.

Cheers !

Hi Black sheep.

You need Llangefni Register Office. If you google for it, they have a really informatiove web site with opening times, email address etc.

North Wales BMD unfortunately doesn't have anything on Anglesey. In fact Anglesey is pretty poorly covered, which is why my research there is only hobbling along.

There is a possibility with the north wales genealogy exchange, or if you join the rootsweb mailing list for Anglesey.

Hope this helps,

D
