Completed: Mary Steel, born 1826 in Crosscanonby, daughter of Mary and James
« on: Tuesday 09 September 14 22:20 BST (UK) »
Hello

Mary Steel, born on 23rd July 1826 in Crosscanonby had a brother named Thomas, born in 1831 and parents named James and Mary

What was the maiden name of her mother? Does it show her maiden name on the parish registers?

I would have purchased the birth certificate, but this was before registration in 1837

my thanks
