George Cyril WARD died on a trawler out of Hull, HMT Dervish 9 Sep 1940. He was a stoker LX/KT 117471, he was age 25 and wife was Beatrice nee FRANCE. According to the Hull Daily Mail 17 Sep 1940, he had served 3 months in the patrol service, and had previously served 9 years with the Hull Fishing Fleet. He lived at Welton Terrace, Courtney Street. On his marriage certificate in 1936 at the Registry Office his father was named as George Henry WARD a Foreman Navvy, and the address for both parties was 3 James Place, Colonial Street. Witnesses on the certificate have not yielded anything further, nor the birth certificates of their two children.
Problem: Birth Certificate not found for George Cyril WARD circa 1915 and his parents not identified.
Please can anyone help, maybe at HUll Library with other newspapers or records to identify this person?
